The West Michigan Crime Prevention Association was founded in 1979 with the purpose of contributing to the reduction and control of criminal opportunity and criminal victimization in West Michigan. WMCPA has co-sponsored a fraud prevention seminar for twelve consecutive years. The association also sponsors an annual golf tournament to raise funds. Members meet every other month.

Our next West Michigan Crime Prevention Meeting will be held at Lincoln County Club located at 3845 Lake Michigan Drive Walker, MI.   On Wednesday July 11 at 10:00 am. 

 The agenda for July’s meeting will be

10:00am – 10:30am General Membership Meeting

10:30am – 11:00am Grant Committee Meeting

11:00am – 12:00noon Golf Committee Meeting


If you would like to be a part of the golf committee or if you would like to donate a door prize or sponsor a hole, please contact anyone of our golf committee members.

 Lunch will be $8.00 per person.  9 holes of golf with a cart will be 15.00 per person (Give or take a few dollars).  This is a good time for us to relax and have fun together on the golf course.  If you plan to stay for lunch/golf, please contact Sandi Jones at 616-632-6221 ASAP.

2005 Crime Prevention Practitioner of the Year


The recipient of the 2005 Jim Hartman Award  is Officer Rick Rafferty with the Rockford Police Department. Rafferty was nominated by Rockford Chief Dave Jones because of the numerous crime prevention programs he has implemented over the past three years.  The award was presented on September 29, 2006.
